This is what we start out trying to do. Most of us fail because we don't have the time to learn what is needed to train an animal. So the best we can hope for is that they will eventually catch on and not eat our shoes, or beg at the table, bark at everything, and anytime--by the time we realize we need help, they aren't puppies, and are almost set in their way.  There is a training program available, and I will be showing articles from it on occasion. Asking your opinion of them, and just generally try to develop an information base. Feel free to share your pet notes.
