Well, time to try and get back to the “hobby” of powder coating again. In case you weren't aware, powder coating is not just to put a colored coating on you metal objects, (you can match almost any car colour, with a powder) but you can clear coat them as well. That will put a lasting hard cover on the metal, to help it withstand the nastiness of some of our roads.Especially is you go four wheeling, dirt, sand gravel, rocks etc. they all take a toll on the finish. There are many items that could be powder coated, --kids bikes, ski doo parts, outside furniture, what ever item you would want, as long as it can handle 400 deg F heat for curing.
I've got a couple of parts I want to do for my restoration car. Now that it's shut down for the season, when I drain the oil next I'll take the oil pan cover off and “chrome”it up along with a couple of old chevy valve covers, and air filter housings. Usually wait until I have a few things to do, got a large oven, no point of wasting power one at a time. (had an extension put on my heating unit, now I can get larger rims and parts into it.) In between I suppose I'll still be fixing and replacing parts on nieces and nephews vehicles, seems they've found the hourly rate a little lower. Gives me an excuse to talk with them, and kind of keep up with what they are up to. Enough from me for today, stay safe, and have a good day. Got a question, ask. (infoandideas.com—full of ideas and information, always looking for ideas and information) Garageadict (oh yeah, I know it supposed to have two “d”s, but I had it done before I noticed)
